In contrary, on weekends getting around Moscow can be a real pleasure.
Ground Transportation
Operates from 6am till midnight. Tickets are available from the kiosks at the stops or can be obtained right in the vehicle from conductor or driver. One single-way ticket costs 17 Rubles.
Underground/Metro
Currently over 170 stations forming 11 lines are operatin with 54 line transfers. The metro operates from 5:35am till 1am, line transfers close down at 1am. The metro tickets (17 Rubles per trip regardless of distance) are available at all metro stations. You may also purchase the multy-trip tickets giving a small progressive discount.

Taxi
Taxi cabs can be recognized by the checked strip on the car door or the highlighted sign "T" on the roof. It is advisable to book a taxi by telephone or via hotel concierge desk. If you pick a taxi on the street, be sure you choose one from a licensed company and agree the price before you take it. A taxi ride within the city center should not cost you more then 300-350 Rubles, a trip to the airport - around 1100-1200 Rubles. The driver will give you a receipt only on demand.
