Club constantly open, close, get re-designed and open again and only few can keep the interest of Moscow’s capricious public for more then a while. Most of them could easily compete in style and extravagant features with the trendiest places of New York and London (for instance, one club features WC with transparent mirrors, allowing you to see the dance floor from inside the cabins). Clubs usually charge an entry fee, the most sophisticated ones also have ‘face control’, i.e. the doorman might turn away anyone who doesn’t look decent. Almost daily live concerts and shows of Russian and international stars are the must to keep the places going. B2 Club, Opera, Dyagilev, Metelitsa, Kristall, Galereya, Pavilion seem to have survived for a couple of years, but you might want to ask our concierge for the newest and the trendiest.
